Meet the Fibers

LINEN

Due to its lightweight, breathable, and non-stretchy nature, linen is very suitable to be constructed into bottoms because it of the way it flows and does not cling. Although it's lightly textured, linen is not rough or uncomfortable on the skin.

All Bodies linen pieces are always handmade with 100% linen.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Machine wash cold and hang dry. Steam, iron medium, or use anti-wrinkle spray before wear to keep fabric crisp and wrinkle-free.

SILK

Silk is highly coveted as a strong and luxurious material. It is a fantastic fiber for dresses as it drapes beautifully over the body without overemphasizing imperfections or small flaws.

Did you know there are many different types of silk? Currently, All Bodies has pieces constructed from, satin silk, georgette silk, and velvet silk. All our silk is sourced from a local mulberry silk farm in Bao Loc - the "silk capital" of Vietnam.

  • The epitome of class and elegance, satin silk is a mid-weight, ultrasoft, and glossy fabric that envelopes the body luxuriously.
  • Georgette silk is a bit different. It is a crepe style fabric twisted from crépe threads. More lightweight than satin silk, georgette is semi-matte and slightly more textured.
  • Velvet silk is a plush, richly textured fabric characterized by its dense pile and sumptuous feel. A heavy-weight fabric, velvet silk combines a soft, smooth touch with a distinctive, soft sheen that captures light subtly. Fun fact: velvet silk was historically reserved for royalty and was a symbol of high social class.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Machine wash cold and hang dry. Steam to eliminate any crease or wrinkles.
